a/c fix, where is it??? (archive)

I have either seen it posted or read it on a website, but some people have changed a few parts on their a/c to make it work a little better. I belive it had something to do with changing a valve/flap, or something that mixes the air.....not 100% sure.
can anyone recall where it was or point me in the right direction?
I am looking for any improvement over what I have. I am heading down to florida in three weeks, and off to texas 3 mos. after that...my a/c is already marginal here in annapolis, md.
