A sports car is NOT supposed to behave like a really fast family sedan. It should have an edge. Be difficult to drive, that's what makes it challenging. It seems nobody gets that anymore. If given a choice between a new Porsche 911 turbo and an old Ferrari 308 or 911- I'll take the latter everytime- and I'm not even kidding. I don't need a car to make me look good, I love the feeling of knowing I've mastered something difficult. Driving my old Lancia at the edge was truly hair-raising- slamming the car into gear, listening to the melody of mechanical noises, and balancing her on the edge. That's what sports cars are all about- and that' why I bought a Z3 and not a damn Mercedes SLK.
