I have the Dunlop Sp 9000 in 225/ 35/18" and 255/30/18" on my ///MZ3. It it is the very best high performance tire I ever had. The wet and all around handling is just outstanding. I had both, the old and the new Michelin Pilot Sport on my original wheels. And they were real bad handling in wet conditions.
On top of it, the SP 9000 has a superb grip on dry road conditions and do hold his outstanding grip even after a couple of fast lap's on a race track.
But as usual where's light there's also shadow. In case of the SP 9000 it's the handling characteristic at the front axle. Because the tire has a rather soft side wall the grip surface of the tire shows more sideway flex during hard cornering than other tires. This will result in a sluggish feeling at the entrance of the corner. Once the car has reached the point of max. sideforce in the turn the feeling get's better. This problem is not so prominent at the rar axle. Nevertheless the SP 9000 is an outstanding tire for all around and mild track usage. I can only reccomend this tire especially if someone lives in an aerea like Switzerland where heavy rain belongs to ones live.
