The Honda V65 Magna that I bought in the early 80s was sold at that time as the world's fastest production motorcycle...and today it would only be a piker....and yet the first bike mag that tested it (I still have the magazine, though not the bike) got a quarter mile time of 10.97! In the 15 or so years since then, the bikes HAVE gotten lighter, with much higher output and revs...would sure expect better 1/4 mile times.
FWIW, the Magna was not a krotch rocket, by any normal definition...it was just a fast bike.
