to the only pure, unadulterated enthusiast vehicles still available to the general public at a sane price, which are on TWO wheels not four. This is especially true now that motorcycles have evolved by leaps and bounds as far as reliability, maintenance *and* performance levels, but have NOT simultaneously become watered-down appliances for posers (well, a few have but most haven't). And as much as I love my Z3, it and every other mass-produced sports car from a major manufacturer has become exactly that to a greater or lesser degree. I just have to keep an "attitude of gratitude" and remember that if it weren't for all those pseudo-enthusiasts parading around the suburbs who gotta have ABS, DSC etc to get across shopping mall parking lots, there wouldn't be enough roadster market for cars like the Z3 to ever even see production.
