Airbag cutoff in Z3 (archive)

Does anyone have any info on airbag cutoff switches. The M Roadster show car had a switch in place of the clock. But the press thought it was ugly and the factory never offered it. Poss legal problems. I have children under 13 and cannot let them set in the front(only) seat.
