Yes, Your evaporator is constantly condensing moisture. There are bacteria that grow (and do stuff that all growing things do) in the water on your evpaorator. As the air passes through the evaporator to be cooled, some of the bacterial nastiness gets in the air.There are two things you can ddo to minimize this. (1) Make sure the tray under the evaporator is draining properly and (2) Run your car with the blower on and the A/C off when you park - before you turn your engine off. This will allow the evaporator to dry so nasty things don't grow on it while you are parked.
