Evil ketchup packets! (archive)

Ugh... I ran over a ketchup packet in a drive-thru and didn't notice the mess until the next day. I have no idea how I managed such complete coverage. What's that saying, something like, any job worth doing is worth doing well???

It hit mostly along the drivers side... from the hood above the headlights, the gills, the window pillar, the windshield, the mirror, the door side, the top door edge (inside and out), the top boot cover, the upper rear fender, and the trunk lid. Sheesh! On a white car, nonetheless!

It didn't stain the car in anyway, though it had dried to a hard, gummy consistency. A good soaking with Meguir's Quick Detailing spray and a soft cloth managed to remove it pretty easily... but everytime I thought I got it all, I'd spot a bit more farther along the car :^) Had I known the extent of the coverage, I would've just washed the whole car. Oh well, it was somehow an enjoyable process once I realized that there was no permanent damage done.
