Thanks for the response--I saw your post about getting the car, and was psyched! The info on the run is cool--I'll try to make it as long as it's ok for me to come...? Lemme know.
Other than that, I'll look at the windscreen and stoneguards. What are 'hats' and do you have a link to wheel locks? I don't think I've seen them mentioned before...
As far as detailing and car care, yeah I need to do something about that ASAP--the recent rain left spots and streaks everywhere and I need to wash the baby somehow--I'm just scared as to how exactly, and with what. Any tips?

I live in the Valley and there will be a roadster run leaving the Malibu Ralphs on Oct. 7th as far as meeting other L.A. Z3, Boxster, TT folks. (I will be in the scenic group as both the car and myself are still in the break-in period.)
Essential upgrades? Well lets see I have had my car since Wednesday (pictures below)and now I have: a couple of hats, mesh windscreen, stoneguards, wheel locks. (welcome to L.A. if you don't have them make it a priority.) Now on my list is going to be a FULL compliment of car care products. Want to keep the baby looking good. Some sort of alarm. Maybe some new CD's and more than likely a V1. Oh yeah, Whitey here is in some serious need of some sunscreen.
As for performance upgrades...Well I just spent the day with my honey driving the canyons around Malibu and up the coast a bit (still following the necessary break-in proceedures.) and have to say that it will be quite some time before I can out drive this car. It's plenty responsive for me.
