Just a few things:

1.) If the check engine light blinks - Stop immediately and get towed to dealer. You will kill the CAT-CONVERTER.
2.) The light could be 1 of 175 different emmisions related things. Things I know of are loose gas cap, bad cap rubber ring,O2 sensor, and my problem was due to crank shaft sensor - (will mention that this is one of those un-offical recall problems).
3.) as long as light is solid. You're OK

the check engine light is staying on. Does anyone know how I can check it???
