My brother helped his soon to be father in-law (next summer) rehook up his stereo system. In return he lent him his crazy '93 Supra TT for the day since my brother has been lusting over it for years. This thing has a ton of money in it (though not nearly as much as in his track only 911 turbo) and Keith (brother) has been telling me about it for a long time.
Keith stopped by today to take me for a ride in it. Makes all manor of snorts and pops and whistles but damn can it move! Watching the boost gauge was hilarious. Comes up to a few pounds of boost then around 4k the second turbo kicks in and literally whips the needle around and pegs it. The autometer gauge goes to 20psi.....
I couldn't read the boost gauge on the HKS valve controler due to glare but I think the owner had turned down the boost a little before handing over the keys to my brother. Scary!
It felt like it pulled harder in third then it did in first gear. You could be behind someone going the same speed then punch it and you pass them like they are full out in reverse. I'm pretty sure it would eat the Viper I rented for lunch.
Wow!
Anyone (Chuek??) have any ideas about where the power was on this thing figuring 20psi? It was built down in a shop in Florida somewhere.
His 911 is supposed to be night and day faster then the Supra.
It still looks like a giant tooth.....
