V.Unlikely. NC is rated as highest performing business ecosystem for manufacturing in the US with more quality awards than all others put together. Has successfully attracted over 250 foreign companies to the region because of local skills and infrestructure (another US record). No accident the state and local councils have invested for just such a purpose since the 50s. It would not make economic sense to put one elsewhere (rather expand present). Now when it comes to concept development and business sytem relationships California comes into its own. Putting a design studio or customer relations facility (museum or mega showroom etc) there would make sense.(see Porter & Kanter for microeconomics #s)
