We have a very active Z3 group in Houston, check out our web site(see link below). Check it out for future events.

The Michelins on your car are most likely the originals. Its pretty common to go thru 2 sets of rears to one set of fronts. I just put a set of Kumho Ecsta 712's on my Z. I'm very happy with them. You can spend a lot of $'s for tires, up to $1000 for a set of Michelin Pilot Sports or Bridgestone Pole Position S02's installed. The Kumho's ran $436 for the set installed. These are not the best handling tire but they are quiet, smooth riding, and they work very well in the rain. I have an extra set of wheels and Kumho V700 tires for autocrossing, so my needs for a handling tire are different than others.

Looking forward to meeting you at one of our events.
