I've never driven a Miata, but I really have no problem driving with the top up. I of course, love to have it down, but it's equally amazing with the top up.

Here in South Florida, we had a very hot summer, and I prefer not to have the top down--but the car still was an absolute blast. I try to drive my car as much as I possibly can, even finding excuses (or sometimes, none at all) just to go for a 60 mile jaunt.

It's awesome!
