Finally found a good place for my flashlight (archive)

I've always kept a "Maglight" flashlight in the trunk. But, it's always getting loose and rolling around.
Then I saw a set of clips for the Maglight at the local hardware store. And the light went off over my head (pun intended).

I just used a few small machine screws and nuts. I decided to use a small thin metal bar behind the carpet to help and use as a brace. This gave me something other than carpet to bolt too.

The clips are fairly tight, and since the carpet is only fastened to the side of the trunk with 2 small plastic screws you still have to hold the carpet with your left hand as you pry the flashlight off.

But, other than that I think it turned out well.
By the way, putting it on the left side allows clearance for hinged trunk floor cover.
