I installed a 10" sub in a small sealed box. With the current generation of subs, they do not need a whole lot of air therefore you can get away with a pretty small box. I then made some holes in the rear shelf to allow the sound to enter the cabin. It sounds amazing now ! I can actually hear / feel bass at highway speeds.

I agree about needing a subwoofer upgrade and like the idea of additional storage space--- Inquiring minds want to know---- WHERE did u hide the new Sub??

I installed the storage bin in my 99 MZ3 after upgrading that poor excuse for a sub. I must tell you, it's not an easy task. It took about 4-5 hrs. and I had to remove the rool hoops. Luckly I was able to borrow the required star socket from my dealer. It is a GREAT upgrade. Its like having a second glove box. There are actually two lockable compartments. One in front and the one on top. Both are locked by the ignition key.
