To kill body roll you really need to do springs since sway bars are really just for adjusting or fine-tuning the roll. Most aftermarket springs will lower the car 1 inches, which is way too much IMHO.

I found a set of coil-overs that adjust both front and rear that let me set the ride height at of an inch lower than stock which works great and does not give me clearance problems. The problem with them is you need to have corner weights done after they are installed. That requires a shop that understands the concept of corner weight. I got my coil-overs from Ground Control. They will sell you any spring rate you want. Tell them what YOU are after and they will recommend the proper rate. The kit is about $400.00.

If you go for springs that will lead you to struts/shocks. I would recommend Koni Sport Adjustables so you can tune your strut/shock to your springs and handling taste.

These two items are a good start plus being adjustable as you add items these components will work right along with the new components.

You will find aftermarket BMW parts expensive so get ready but the quality is fairly good so you will not need to invest twice.
