Your information is correct.

The link will describe exactly what you are talking about. Make sure it enters the state after 90 days from the date you bought it, and you should be OK.

4/'98 2.8l Drk Grn/Beige/Black - 17" - sport bun warmers - Wood steering wheel, brake handle and trim - Dinan Stage 2 Software, Strut Brace, and Air Intake - Custom Borla Exhaust with Intercooler Tips - Eibach Sway Bars - BavAuto SS Brake Lines - Ron Stygar short Shift - LeatherZ stuff - starry night paint detailing on front - yada, yada, yada - and no power top (real roadsters don't have no fuggin' power top)

Ok, anyone familiar with the regulations regarding registering an out-of-state (specifically, Oregon) vehicle in California. I'm aware the smog impact fee ($300) has been done away with, but what concerns me is the sales tax issue.

Am I correct in my understanding:
That if a vehicle is purchased in Oregon and brought into California in less than 90 days, CA sales tax is due. However, after the 90 days the CA sales tax is not applicable.

Any insight or info would be greatly appreciated. Just trying to avoid getting boned by my friends at the DMV.
