My 97 first showed its wrinkles after she came out of the drying oven this
summer when I had the dealer repaint the front bumper. He denied the cause, but
offered to replace the black plastic laminate. I had read about others on the MB
having it removed w/ good results and decided that since BMW no longer uses the
stuff that it must be a defect. So, I like many others opted for removal and a
'newer' look. I have pics of the car w/ and w/o. Both look good, but it should
be your decision.

BTW, I've read something re: the clear-coat not reaching the whole
windshield frame in the factory painting, but mine we fully clear-coated.
