There was a discussion about this a few weeks back on the MB. I had been leaning toward replacing the OEM Dunlop 8080E's on my Y2K M with Michelin Pilot Sports, but after all the posts on the subject have decided to go with the Pole Positions. (I still think the Michelins are good too.) You might drop Aaron @ Tirerack.com a note- that's who I'm going to get mine from. I believe he has a new 3.0 roadster.

And banjopicker- the Firestones I had on an 81 Riviera were gawd-awful. Swore I'd never do that again, but here I go. Hope that story yesterday about the kicking mule doesn't hold true. :)
