Well, I have to admit, two years ago at the Houston auto show I was excited about the prospects of seeing an S2000. When it didn't appear and the word was that it wouldn't be out for a year or so I became serious about my MZ3 considerations.

I don't know much about the Honda except what has been written in the automotive rags. Based upon the comparisons, I prefer my Z. Also, having watched several S2000 drivers at our local autocross events, I can tell you that these cars would appear to be even more tail happy than my M Roadster. The ones at our local autox typically loose control of their cars in tight turns. That doesn't sound like a car with good handling characterisitcs to me. However, I also can't help but notice that in the SCCA Nationals, the S2000 drivers have done quite well. So, who knows?

Although the Honda is a beautiful car and I know their owners treasure them, I agree with you, the BMW Z3 is a 'classic'!

I read an article a couple of months ago in Road & Track that the Z3 wasn't as good as Honda's S2000. How could that be??? The Z3 has more torque, same HP, more cylinders, not to mention much better looks (an instant classic if you ask me). Road & Track says its mainly the handleing. How do other Z3 owners feel about that article? Also, does anyone know what it would take (equipment and cost) to bring the Z3 up to par to the S2000? Thanks.
