Red Pads, Cryo Rotors, brake shudder is gone :) (archive)

I've sort of been absent from the board for a couple of months, tight work deadlines, business travel, and other life events. I just got back from 2 weeks on business in Paris (I know, tuff luck!) to find a nice package from HMS waiting for me: EBC red pads to replace my greens all around and a set of cryo rotors for the front. I just got finished doing the install and the annoying brake shuddering from my warped factory rotors is now gone! The job was pretty straightforward, thanks to all the help I've received from this board, the torque specs on Ron Stygar's website, and HMS's excellent customer service. I was thinking of taking pix of the whole how-to procedure, but it was so cold and windy today all I wanted to do was get the job done without any delay. Anyway, I just got back from a 15 minute drive of trying to seat the brakes a bit and everything seems great so far. I can now brake confidently without worrying that I'm going to lose control of the steering wheel!

Again, thanks to all the advice from everyone on the rotors and brakes. I figure I saved a couple hundred $$ over a dealer job, I learned alot, and have higher performance to boot.
