I'm looking at purchasing a used Artic Silver hardtop and I have a Titanium silver Z - is there really a difference between the two, or is simple marketing the same paint color with a different name.

Yes, I've been to Tim's color gallery - can't tell a bit of difference really - the color is hard to photograph and different lighting conditions can affect the photos quite a bit.

You cannot really tell the difference unless the 2 colors are right next to each other (or until you know the secret that gives them away). The difference IS real. Arctic silver has a blue hue to it while Titanium is closer to pure silver.

It is hard to accept that statement really is true until you see the 2 colors side-by-side. After you see that you can tell the 2 colors apart even if they are alone.

An arctic silver hardtop on a titanium silver car WILL be noticeable.

Hope this helps.
