This fall, the exciting news from BMW comes in the shape of the latest M car, the M3. The long-awaited M version of the new 3-Series is already on sale in Europe, and for the first time the U.S. version sports the same power as its European sibling. This means the M3 delivers around 330 horsepower. The '01 M Coupe/Roadster receive similar levels of power. Meanwhile, the 3- and 5-Series trims get new 6-cylinder engines and thus, new alphanumeric designations. An improved 2.5-liter 185-horsepower engine powers the 325i, 325Ci, and the new 525i and 525i Sport Wagon. A new 3.0-liter inline 6-cylinder, producing 225 horsepower, propels the 330i and 530i.
