Long weekend down the Central Cali Coast through Big Sur to Morro Bay. Managed to dodge the crappy weather until Sunday morning, then got positively dumped on in the parking lot at Morro Rock. About 10 minutes into the downpour, got matching drip from the hinge point above both side windows. While staunching the flow with a couple of towels, we discovered that the leaks seem to originate near the mating point at the top of the windscreen. Water then flowed toward the rear inside a rubber channel to right above the outboard elbows.

If I lived in Seattle or anywhere where winter precipitation is the rule rather than the exception, I would definitely opt for the hard top. Or else put the $2k toward a good winter beater...

at some point. I would not be w/o a hardtop...in my, very, humble opinion I would go for the hardtop b4 the heated seats. I am a fellow PNWestr and have gone thru a winter with a hardtop, and one without...I prefer to remember the one with. I know the rest of the people here have been in the rain...but you, and I, know what "real" rain is! My car is a daily driver, going on 80,000 miles, and has seen some narly weather, but with the htop on, I'm cozy and warm, come heck or high water. BTW the car has an awsome profile with the top on to boot.
