For a long time people involved in accidents, assumed that they would be payed extra money, for there pain and suffering whether warranted or not. Just because it was cheaper for the insurnace company to settle rather that fight it. And the company would throw them a grand minimum everytime. Now they, the insurance people, pay everything they owe but not a nickel more.....in fact they will spend $3,000 to not pay $1,000. By the same token they will spend a $1.25 to recover a buck. Just so people do not assume that they need not pay do to the cost of recovery.
