A few hours up the coast and you've got all kinds of great driving. We just took a long weekend down from the Bay Area to the SLO/Morro Bay area. Great scenery, pretty good weather -- rain one day :( -- and lots of great and basically deserted roads.

The PCH was absolutely spectacular and not nearly as crowded as I expected, maybe since we did it on a weekday with rain threatened for the weekend.

The verbage I'm sure doesn't do justice to your experience. The photos make me wish I could just ship my car and drive in picture perfect scenery like that. Those vistas are something we in California (at least in L.A.) just don't have. Something to think about when you are snowed in and we post about top down driving. At least you get real seasons. Thanks for sharing.
