1. When washing the car, i barely wet the top and then go over very lightly with a sheepskin mitt to soap the entire top. lightly rinse off.
2. after thorough drying in the sun, I take a lint roller and take off any hairs, dirt, etc.
3. I use Haartz convertbile top sealer. Haartz is the manufacturer of our top so obviously they recommend their own sealant:-) www.haartz.com
4. After top is sealed. I usually only have to go over with a lint roller 2 times a month. I only wash the top (step 1) once a month. But then again, I live in the SF bay area where it's pretty sunny.
hope this helps.....
just as anal....
I got the outside of the car taken care of (man I love Zaino) but what I'm a little leery of is cleaning the convertible top of this thing. Whoever owned it before us didn't take too good at taking care of this thing since there is slight mildewing....I'm a little anal when it comes to the cars, so may of you probably wouldn't see it until you were right up on the car.
Anyways....what would you guys use to clean your tops....and also, what do you use to water proof them as well (if you treat them for this at all).
Thanks for all the help.
I'm driving the hell out of this car guys....loving it....just loving it!
I use Groit's interior cleaner.I apply with a chamille sponge, works well for me.
