I'm a 97 Z3 2.8 owner who is about to buy an interesting M Roadster. It's a 98 with 600 miles, never titled, and was shipped back to the U.S. by a dealer who bought it from BMW Germany. I just reviewed the messages on M VINs and they say they all start with WB. Here's the one on this auto: 4USCK9323WLC85001. First ZM? Is there someone in Spartanburg who might know the history of this car?

The picture is of a Bright Red M Roadster (non standard colour) that was built in 1997 and used as a show car. When it came up for sale it had done 4,000 miles (most in previous few weeks).
