The guy is right. Beside the one in the zentrum only 1 was brought to this country from europe. This one version is not DOT approved and is pretty much a collectors/show car only.

They stopped making them in the early 90's.

Body panels are plastic.

There are some nice B/W pix of the car in the yellow BMWCCA book.
