I read a post on the E36 board that you should stuff polyfill into the enclosure behind the footwell speakers to increase deep bass response. Does this work? Before I go and rip out the panels (again)and stuff the area with pillow fill, are there any guidlines for how much or what material? I would have thought that the metal behind the speaker would reflect more sound, but perhaps that is only true for a tuned enclosure? Any home sub I have seen is similarly filled.
