If you want my opinion, stay away from aftermarket cd changer. I bought a Pioneer CDX-P650 with and BMWPILA interface from peripheral electronics and the thing didn't work.

So I ended up buying the real thing after all the issues that I had.

Ao I ended up paying more money for nothing!

Go with BMW, it installs in minutes and it works.

I am considering putting in an aftermarket changer rather than buying BMW's. I know that the trunk has the mounting bracket and electrical connections already, but how is the changer controlled? Thru the in-dash tape player? Special connection for this?
