People that load up cars like that should be fined big bucks. My favorite is the mattress on the roof doing 65mph on the highway (with the front of the mattress being bent straight up from the wind) and the moron driver having his hand out the window over the mattress.

A few years back my brother was driving home about 1/2 away on a four lane street w/ a 40mph speed limit.

A guy in the other direction was driving home from Home Depot with a load of 2X4s on his ski rack. The ski rack wasn't built to take that sort of load of course and the air pressure tore the rack and the lumber off the top of the car. It plowed directly through the windshield of his car. If he didn't have quick reactions and hadn't literally ducked over onto the passenger seat it would have tore his head off. The lumber smashed into his headrest (on a Mustang which had a strong loop sort of headrest)and bent it 90 degrees. It also bent up the windshield header and roof about 5".
