Shortly after the Gulf of tonkin incident I was present at a meeting of Columbia University students and those who just hung around the campus concerning protests against US involvement in Southeast Asia. This was when we still just had 'advisors' in Vietnam. The leaders of this meeting were full of Pro-Communist Revolutionary rhetoric. They apparently thought all the attendees felt the same or could be swayed to their viewpoint. They openly stated that this could be the beginning of 'bringing down' the United States. Some of these peoiple later became instrumental in the founding of the Columbia Chapter of SDS. There were plenty of 'Professional Agitators' lurking around the fertile Liberal college campuses on both coasts. It was as easy for them to manipulate the rebelious young minds on campus as it was for the military to indoctrinate young recruits during bootcamp.
