Don't remember the model, but I used it for a few years in my other car ... only used it a couple of months in my Z. Same thing though, fuse blown, replaced the fuse and still no go... totally dead. Thought it was just it's time, or maybe something to do with continually plugging it in and out (never got around to wiring it in). Gotta get a replacement one of these days.

A couple of days ago I bought a Bel 980 (I know, I know...but $400 bucks plus shipping??). I used it once, and the next time I plugged it in, it was dead as a doornail. I checked its fuse and sure enough, it was blown, so I replaced it with the supplied spare -- but still no-go. It seems to have fried itself. Tomorrow, I'll go fight for a replacement or refund.

The question is, what could have caused it to commit seppuku so quickly? I'm driving a 2000 M roadster with no known electrical problems. Has anyone else had this happen?
