I have heard many debates on 100 octane fuel. I have used it to see what is up. I can not tell any major difference between fuels except that at full acceleration it seems to be smoother and the car is quiter at idle.
I have heard debates saying that 100 octane fuel will work better in the BMW and other high performance cars because the computers recognize the better fuel and correct for it. The cars performance goes down with 87 octane fuel, why should it not go up for 100 octane.
