You know that you just have to deal with supply and demand. You are in absolutely the most Z-saturated place in the country, probably the world! More BMW dealers per square mile where you are than anyplace else!

Am certain that my dealership would buy your car from you wholesale for more than that amount...and still make several thousand dollars more when they resold it.

So Zs and Ms don't get top dollar in SoCal, or NY or Florida. Not such a surprise. They do mighty well in some other parts of the country, and the dealerships in those parts know it. Of course, most of those places actually have WINTER, which does put the kibosh on sports car sales for a while (except silly me, who bought his '99 2.3 on January 15 in the middle of the worst Iowa blizzard of the winter. Strangely, the dealership also sold a 2.8 and an ///M Roadster the same month!

Good luck, and maybe if you still have it next spring, you could drive it to Iowa and get top $ for it.
