I dropped my daughter off at the high school the other day and was amazed that while only doing ~2-3MPH in a line of cars in the parking lot, I 'bottomed out' after my front wheels cleared a large speed bump... it felt like the car frame banged down on the speed bump....I didn't think that any damage was done, and the steering feels OK, but I"m a hypochondriac and am wondering if something may have been a little bent.
...I notice that there is kind of protective skeleton of black metal tubing under the front of the car protecting the drip pan and the transmission.
I think that I hit this protective cage or perhaps the two I-beams behind the cage that seem to be the car's frame.
Any opinions?
