My seams are stretched so tight I forsee the stiching ripping out down the sides.

My new top was initially tighter than usual (probably for the first week or two), but stretched out fine. The dealer said that that was to be expected.

I think my situation was just a case of poor installation and poor subsequent repairs. It's good to see that most who responded have had positive experiences with this.
