was a '70 Buick which had front discs but steel wheels with full covers so none could get thru (this was not a car likely to be driven in a manner that would need a maximum brake venting). All it takes for brake dust to appear is disc brakes with vented wheels which is very desirable if your brakes ever need to cool in a hurry. I thought that was the setup on most cars these days but maybe a lot of them come with some type of low-dust pads (not necessarily best the performing but okay for family cars).
We've had my wie's Z3 for about a week and a half now and I believe the "break dust" question was my first or second post...lol
Yep, as I have found out....it is normal....
Just keep a good bottle of quick detailer and a rag handy and you'll be fine :)
