No trunk release inside car. Would sort of be a security issue, don't you think...convertible and all.

Sounds like you don't have the full featured key, but rather the valet key, which won't open trunk and glove compartment. Local BMW dealer can get you replacement keys.

CD options exist...your radio is the cd controller.

BMW service department needs to look at engine fault light...numerous causes possible. Do you fill your tank with the key in the ignition?

Good luck with the car...but get it checked over, and insist on the owner's manual...you will need it.
