Mesh screen caused me (and my trifocals) a serious visibility issue when looking back over my shoulder...moire pattern made the mesh almost go solid. It worked ok as wind deflector, but the current CWS works much better.

And the issue of better stereo sound is no small matter. Reflectivity of the CWS really DOES enhance the sound quality of my aftermarket sound system.

Contrary to some opinions, I find the CWS much easier to clean, though it does need superficial attention more often. When that mesh gets very dusty, it is a pain.

For those reasons, and others, I sold the OEM mesh unit.
