Write what you want, nothing excuses email death threats and anyone and everyone who writes to this MB has had occaision to regret what they said, and some even apologize.
Most people- and I mean really like 90% of the people who read this board are the best folks I know, and they do not pass judgement or enjoy putting others down. Unfortunately, that is hard to remember when one or two usually anonymous trolls posts a lot and use a bunch of email addresses to look like they are more than one person.
Real people on the MB show up at events and/or show pics and/or return emails.
You are in good company imho.
Certainly painkillers also affect our ability to police ourselves- it sounds like you might have been on them. I spent weeks apolgizing for things I said on painkillers- and lost some folks for good.
So, there ya go- whatever you said is gone from the MB in two days, and the only people who will see it in the archives are people who have nothing better to do than live in the past.
Heal up well, enjoy the holidays, hope you are back in the driver's seat SOON!
-Rachel, who screws up plenty!
Well, I’m back…leg raised at home with my laptop on my lap (as it should be).
To all of those who did not know, I was in a pretty serious car accident.
I want to take this opportunity to apologize to those who I offended with regard to politically related posts. I guess a “near-death” experience tends to put things into perspective. I was very involved with the campaign; and, quite frankly, I was pissed with regard to the situation and what was going on (still am…but so it goes). While I realized that bimmer.org was not the place to voice my political agenda, I let it spew wherever I could. This was inappropriate and out of place. Again I apologize.
Further, I want to thank those who posted their positive comments and sent very encouraging e-mails to my wife Deborah and me. We are forever indebted to you.
To those who sent death wishes – that’s the price you pay for posting on the Internet. I know how the game is played.
I hope that this whole thing is water under the bridge. I further hope that you will accept and reply to my posts when I’m ready to purchase. I need a new car after all J
I think that there will be many people posting in our organization with regard to BMW’s. The economy is still pretty good and they are shopping. Please continue to provide the valuable information that you are all famous for.
My best,
Dale
