Since May'99, I've used my 2000 "///M coupe" as my daily driver and 22K miles later, it sure has made the commute more enjoyable. Due to the "liquid sunshine" we have here now and then :) ... and knowing my Z3 would be my daily driver, I chose the Coupe for it being a little more practical (especially the larger hatch area) than the Roadster. But no reason why the Roadster could not be your daily driver in the NW, especially if ya got the removable hardtop! For front end protection, get StoneGard in Bellevue, (the "thin-to-win" 3M clear vinyl protection material) or X-Pel; for the door ding protection, Keith at Z3 Solutions sells magnetic padded strips that you place on the doors IF you hafta park in a marginal spot; remove 'em when you return to your car.

Insurance will run ya approx. $1200 to $1400 per year for the Seattle area.

Bottom line ... NO problem having a Z3 as your daily driver! Look me up if ya get it! FYI
