AFAIK '01 MZ3 will have same rear suspension which has been long-maligned for its inability to handle even 240hp on a par with some others let alone 300+ (though perhaps maligned more than it really deserves in terms of overall performance for the pure-stock price). IF the MZ3 becomes less of a high-performance *bargain* compared to to say a Porsche B-S than it has been in the past, then it's going not going to be as easy to move them or to get even civil reviews in the trade rags. Surely BMW knows that.


New M3 has been tested at 4.8 seconds to 60MPH....and that is a HUGE increase over the numbers recorded for the Euro version of the old M3. In addition, if the rear suspension is made to be stiffer on the M Roadster then it will put that power down more effectively.
