I have my car for 20 months and the top is always hard to "hook up" after an extended period of top down state. If I loosen the hooks, then the gap between the edge of the roof and the windsheild frame becomes too wide, and the rubber seal on the roof and the A pillar won't close. So I just live with the difficulty of closing the top.
