You did say the scrape was *under* the valance, right?
No one's going to crawl up under the car and say "What a nasty scrape!".
Consider this: before you even paint, you'll have to sand down the scrape marks and road rash marks,paint, then wet sand, then polish. To do a decent job, you're looking at 3 hours of labor!
Is it really worth it cause it's only a matter of time B4 you do it again.
Why not just touch it up with the dealer paint stick then enjoy the car?
I'm not trying to minimize your frustration - just adding some counterpoint...
