Thanks for the great pictures !

The rear view mirror has what looks like a day/night switch under it. The current U.S. model does not have this; is this new for 2001 or does Europe have the lever and not the auto dimmer ? If this is the case, is this a europe model ?

Is the europe model and the U.S. model truely identical meaning can any car ship anywhere ( ignoring R/L hand drive of course )

Also what are fuel rods ?

Can't help you with the questions on the mirror or fuel rods. The US and Euro models will still have a few differences. We don't have those annoying chiming noises, we have headlight adjustment from inside the cockpit and the glove box is smaller.
