It would be nice to to replace the US spec steering wheel. US dealers do not sell them unless its for an e46. As far as I understand, the diference between the US and euro spec airbags is the deployment force. If that is not the reason, please let me know.

The only legit alternative is the steering ///M steering wheel from the roadster at approx $800 with airbag.

If you look at the archives, you may be able to find Shawn Foggs Z3 steering wheel to M3 steering wheel swap install notes .

If you come up with any other alternatives, please let me know - I'm dying to replace my wheel.
