Took my '00 M out for its sunday drive today and noticed that the rear tires (stock Michelin Pilot Sports) are almost ready to be replaced with not quite 12K miles on them. My review of the archives suggests that this is about average for these tires.

Note that I have not autocrossed or raced the car but do primarily drive it on weekends, which is to say that I take it on twisty roads and drive fairly hard. Interestingly, the tires are worn most in the center, which I might ordinarily attribute to overinflating the tires, but I keep close tabs on tire pressure. Is this consistent with others' experience?
